Why Pinot Noirs?
In the true tradition of sparkling winemakers familiar with the champagne method, the ability to make good red Pinot Noirs runs hand-in-hand with sparkling wine production, so we are proud to also offer still wines from this noble grape.

  16019 Carneros Pinot Noir 2009
This vintage is the chewiest and darkest color of our Pinot noirs, due to copigmentation resulting from the use of chardonnay skins in the fermentation.  Aged in new and one-year-old French oak for 22 months.  Amazing color, with aromas of plum, almond, cedar, clove and blackberry brambles. Rich and meaty palate which pairs well with a wide range of food.

 16019 Carneros Pinot Noir 2008
Some say "Burgundian" when referring to food friendly Pinot noirs, but I prefer "Champenoise". The 2008 reminds me of the red wines from Bouzy in the warmer part of the Champagne region. Aged in French Oak for 10 months. Black cherry, tangerine peel, sweet floral, and black anise aromas with a good supporting structure in the palate.

16019 Carneros Pinot Noir 2007
Our Carneros Pinot Noir 2007 is a reflection of Patricia Howe's particular bias towards Pinot Noir's most delicate expression. This wine is a soft, food friendly, elegant and approachable wine made by hand in "nano" scale proportions.
